Curtis Senior, 101.1 The Beat radio personality affectionately known to his listeners, friends and fans as “Scooby,” was funeralized in Atlanta, Georgia yesterday. Family, friends, fans and many of those who he worked with in his career payed their final respects at his homecoming celebration.
Scooby’s Nashville family, friends, and fans can honor and show respect to Scooby with his 6:30 pm CST Nashville memorial service that will be held today, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 2261 Murfreesboro Pike.
His brother and partner on the radio Dolewite shared via Facebook:
To my brother Scoob: 15 years ago we started our DJ career, but more importantly, we started a friendship that would grow into brotherhood. Blood doesn’t define brotherhood and hurt doesn’t define what I’m feeling without you here. I promise that I will finish what we started, and more importantly, I promise that I will do more than my part for the community and the children of Nashville. I don’t know how I will find the strength to sit in the studio day after day, but I do know that I HAVE to do it. I love you and miss you more than you’ll ever know.
