ABC’s The Bachelor 2012 is in full swing on Monday nights, and everybody knows that Episode 1602, airing on January 16, 2012, is going to be a doozy. Reality Steve spoilers have already teased many of the big happenings, and the ABC press release posted Tuesday fills in some gaps. While some viewers think last week would be hard to top, it appears Monday’s episode (airing on channel 15 in Scottsdale) will have tongues wagging.
On the sweet side, Emily O’Brien and Lindzi Cox both get 1-on-1 dates with Ben Flajnik. Emily and Ben climb up the Bay Bridge, but she starts to freeze up with the 500 foot heights. While she may have nerves working against her, she will get a rose. Lindzi Cox goes on a personal tour of San Francisco with Ben. They get a private concert by Matt Nathanson, and she does end up with a rose.
There is one big group date where 11 of the bachelorettes go skiing on a Bachelor-made ski slope in San Fran. Rather than bundle up, viewers will be seeing bikinis and a bare-chested Ben during this one. Reality Steve didn’t share who got the group date rose on this one, however. ABC teases that one “emotional bachelorette crashes the festivities to give Ben some very unexpected news.” This is Brittney who declines the one-on-one date with Ben. There’s a first for you.
This is the episode that has been teased for months: Shawntel Newton comes back to try to get a chance with Ben. Reality Steve spoiled it months ago, and ABC accidentally posted the video that confirmed it to be true. You can watch this video on the left-hand side of the page. The other ladies are said to go nuts over Newton’s appearance, to a degree nuttier than anybody anticipated. Luckily for them, Ben Flajnik sends Shawntel home packing, much to her surprise. At the rose ceremony, Erika faints, and at least one lady is in tears. ABC also teases that, “In the end, Ben pulls a shocker himself,” and there is some rumbling that he ends the evening early or something like that.
What else happens in The Bachelor episode 3 on January 16, 2012? Reality Steve says that prior to the dates, Ben and his sister Julia hang out in San Francisco. The date with Emily is the one where the other bachelorettes get to spy on Ben and his lady from their hotel, and they are not happy to see Ben and Emily kissing. Ben and Lindzi take a trolley around the city, stopped by a place called “Bourbon and Branch,” then took in their concert at City Hall. The group date heads to the Tonga Room after skiing, and this is where Brittney comes in and quits the show.
Once Brittney eliminates herself, and Shawntel is sent away, Ben has two more ladies to cut. He leaves Erika Uhlig and Jaclyn Swartz without roses. Neither of those will come as big shockers, as they have barely been shown so far this season. Despite that, this show does seem to have more than its fair share of drama. Certainly there will be other tidbits of drama and fans want to see what comes next for frontrunners Courtney Robertson and Kacie Boguskie. Tune in Monday night to see how it all goes down on ABC’s The Bachelor 2012, airing on channel 15 in Scottsdale.
