Monday night’s episode of ABC’s The Bachelor 2012 was chock full of crazy, and fans are still shaking their heads. As wild as that episode was, it seems it just set things up for more crazy as the season continues. ABC’s Tuesday press release and Reality Steve spoilers indicate that there is plenty to tune in to see next week, and viewers cannot wait to see what happens next. Ben Flajnik and the ladies head off to Park City, Utah where there are two one-on-one dates and a group date again. Two ladies leave by the end of the night, and everybody wants to know what to expect.
The Bachelor spoilers tease that Rachel Truehart and Jennifer get the one-on-one dates this week. Rachel gets the first date Monday night, where they take a helicopter tour of the Utah countryside. They land at a secluded lake where they enjoy a kayak tour and romantic picnic. ABC teases, “But just when Ben decides to get serious, the bubbly bachelorette suddenly gets very quiet.” Despite the shift in mood, Rachel is said to get a rose.
The group date Monday night involves Ben taking eight of the bachelorettes horseback riding at first, though they also end up fly-fishing. Most of the women seem to take the challenge in stride, though one is said to get quite competitive. ABC teases, “there is a competitive woman who is more interested in catching Ben – not fish.” Later the group enjoys a party back at the hotel pool, where Ben is said to make “another shocking decision.” Previews make it appear that he sends someone from the group date home then, rather than waiting for the rose ceremony.
Jennifer gets the other one-on-one date Monday night, and they have an adventure ahead of them. Ben and Jennifer go rappelling during the day and have a “romantic rain-soaked outdoor dinner” that evening. They also are treated to a concert by country singer Clay Walker where they dance to the song “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.” They then dance to a new song called “Like We Never Said Goodbye,” and Jennifer gets a rose. Reality Steve spoilers share that Ben and Jennifer kiss then, and Clay asks if she’s a good kisser. Ben continues to say she is the best kisser so far, and goodness knows he’s been doing his best to thoroughly research the matter.
Sparks started to fly between Emily O’Brien and Scottsdale native Courtney Robertson during Episode 3, and it gets even more intense in Episode 4. O’Brien decides it’s time to pull the “she’s different around you than around us” speech with Ben, despite the fact these conversations never seem to make one iota of a difference to the lead. At least Emily doesn’t end up heading home quite yet, which has been known to be the case more than once in previous seasons. Apparently Emily and Courtney get into a very heated confrontation during the party, and fans are cringing already. Thirteen women may head to Park City for next week’s dates, but ABC says that only 11 will move on to the next stop in Puerto Rico.
Reality Steve admits that this is the portion of the season where he doesn’t have very detailed information. In his Tuesday blog post, he shares that Monica and Samantha are the ones to go this week, though he leaves the possibility open that Samantha stays another week and Elyse leaves in Episode 4. He also says that it seems there may be some tricky editing going on with the promos for next week, and to think someone is being sent home at the group date may not be quite how it works out.
The ladies at the Bach and Bachette Forums have done their in-depth sleuthing and screen caps, and it seems that Monica, Elyse and Emily are the three ladies that do not go on any dates in Monday’s episode. They also share that via the breakdown of screen caps for the future, Elyse makes it to Puerto Rico, thus leaving Samantha and Monica as the ladies to go this week. Most seem to concur that Samantha is sent home from the group date this week.
Though it seems unlikely it will air, Reality Steve spoilers have shared that Samantha has actually been itching to go for a while. It’s said she started to fall for one of the producers on the show, though he didn’t do anything to return the feelings. For whatever reason, producers kept her around until this week. Whether Ben really decides to send her home or production is ready to cut her loose, nobody knows, but it’s her time to go and it’s done in dramatic fashion.
ABC also teases that Kacie starts to show some jealousy over Ben romancing other ladies, leading her to break down in tears. As for that “surprise for one of the bachelorettes at the after party that shocks all the women,” and many think this is Ben and Courtney’s steamy hot tub and makeout session. Reality Steve doesn’t know who gets the group date rose on this one, but it sounds like it gets very competitive. ABC teases that one lady is hoping for the rose, but “one of the more sexy seductresses swoops in to claim it.” Chances are pretty good this is either Blakeley or Courtney, based on their portrayals thus far.
