Atlanta Micro Fund Loan 11am – 1:30pm
Atlanta Micro Fund (AMF) Loan provides a weekly orientation that is one of the first steps in getting started with applying for a loan with the Atlatna Micro Fund (AMF). To apply small business owners need to be an eligible AMF Business loan application, find out about these requirements on their Business Loans page. Individuals who are eligible and interested in an AMF micro loan program must complete the AMF Loan Application Package which can be downloaded by clicking here. Loan applications are reviewed and approved by our loan committee. A small business owner must complete the following steps in order to apply:
- Attend a 1.5 hour orientation session
- Orientation sessions are held every Tuesday at 11:00am at the Lang Carson Community Center located at 100 Flat Shoals Avenue, SE, Atlanta, Georgia 30316
- Submit a complete loan application package
- Pay a non-refundable $25.00 Loan Application Fee

Georgia Tech hosts Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) forum 12:30pm – 2pm
“Rethinking the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program” is the theme of a lunch time forum being sponsored by Georgia Tech on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012. The forum is free and open to the public.The SBIR program is a key U.S. innovation initiative that provides funding for small businesses to conduct feasibility work that addresses various federal agencies’ missions. The program is widely emulated around the globe, and Georgia has long sought to increase the participation of technology-based businesses. Just this past December, the SBIR program was reauthorized for an additional six years. Program changes that were part of the Congressional reauthorization came out of a seminal review of the SBIR program led by Charles Wessner.
