Proud parents Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z took their baby girl Blue Ivy Carter out for her first public appearance in New York City on Saturday, since her birth just 7 weeks ago.
The Carter family bundled up and made their way to the Sant Ambroeus restaurant in Manhattan’s West Village for lunch.
Although paps weren’t able to catch a glimpse of Blue Ivy due to mama B’s protective covering, the Carters introduced little baby Blue to the world on Beyonce’s website Beyonceonline.com a few weeks ago. (See Blue Ivy slideshow)
Born on January 7, 2012, Blue Ivy has already made history and followed in the footsteps of her musically talented parents, by debutting on the Billboard charts. That’s right, her coos, cries and breathing appear on her father’s single “Glory”. (That’s a pretty tall order for a 6 week old, wouldn’t you say?)
Blue Ivy Carter’s First Photos
Instead of selling the baby’s first photos for a hefty price tag, Beyonce and Jay-Z decided to give fans their first look at baby Blue for free. The power couple released five lovely family photos (see Blue Ivy slideshow) on Beyonce’s website, along with a handwritten note saying, “We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives,” signed “The Carter Family”.
We can only hope to see more of beautiful Blue Ivy in the near future!
