A Daily Word from The Word for Friday, January 27, 2012
Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm and with great judgments. –Exodus 6:6
Do you need to be brought out of your current circumstances? Are you in a situation that you need to come out from under? Do you need to break out? Need a break through? Need to be plucked out? The Hebrew word for “bring” is “yatsa” (yaw-tsaw) meaning to “break out, pluck out” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance).
What is very sobering in this verse is the use of the word “Egyptians.” Egyptians, obviously referring to the type of people; but more curious is the actual word meaning. There are two root Hebrew terms that make up the word “Egyptian”: “matsowr” (maw-tsore) and “matsuwr” (maw-tsoor) which mean “to limit, to confine, to hem in” (Strong’s).
In a dream, that the Lord gave me a while ago, He showed me a prison. But this prison was not a typical prison because it had no guards and no bars. There was a natural boundary of large grey stones which surrounded the property; however, there was a very wide and obvious opening. The people within the stone walls were wearing dreary grey jumpsuits and walking around almost as in a fog-like state. I inquired of God about what He was showing me, and this was His reply:
“My people are imprisoned within their own minds. They have created their own Egyptians with which they choose to be held captive to and under. I have already freed my people with my outstretched arm and through my commandments; but sadly, just like they were oblivious to the obvious opening in your dream, my people are oblivious to the obvious- they are oblivious to my ways and my strategies, which are made obvious if only my people would call to Me. Call to Me my people, and I will answer you and show you things which you do not know! (Jeremiah 33:3). My people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). There are no guards and no bars, because my people choose to remain imprisoned. I have already provided a way out, I have redeemed them already with my outstretched arm, I have plucked them from their situations and circumstances; but alas, my people are so afraid of being taken in, that they refuse to come out! Yet they are already taken in, taken in by the snares of the devil, hemmed in by their own limitations, their faulty thinking, and the deception that they have chosen to believe, cast upon them by Satan himself. They are taken in by their own words and their own limiting thoughts. The large grey rocks that encamp them, they have made materialize by their own self-defeating and distorted imaginations! I continue to make a way through their stony hearts, and rocky minds; yet they do not see- they do not want to see that I have made a way of escape for them! I have sent my servant Moses who commanded Pharaoh to let my people go, yet my people did not want to go. Their bodies went, but their minds stayed behind, choosing imprisonment rather than freedom; and choosing to remain double-minded. This should not be!”
Come out people of God! Come out of the fog. The Lord your God has already made a way of escape for you! Your loving Father has already lifted your burden, He has already defeated the strongman that has you bound, He already broke you out and plucked you out! God is beckoning you to come out today! Allow the strong and mighty outstretched arm of your Redeemer and Deliverer to set you free this day! Allow the Word of God to unlock you from your imaginary prison that you have made real.
Father, I thank you for the victory! We, your sons and daughters, thank you for breaking through and breaking us out. We thank you for plucking us and freeing us from every false and limiting thought and mindset that has held us captive. We thank you that we are no longer held captive, because you sent your Son to save us, to redeem us, to take captivity captive (Ephesians 4:8), and to set us free! And who the Son sets free is free indeed! (John 8:36). Father, right now, we call upon the Blood of Jesus to break and bring to an utter end, an utter destruction, every limiting thought and mentality that either we have created or the enemy tried to ensnare us with. We bind the strongman, we break every stronghold, and we cry out “freedom and victory!” We thank you that you have shattered every limitation off of us, off of our minds, and off of our lives. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, we call these things done! Amen and Amen!
Take Action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to cast off every wrong and limiting thought and mentality. Choose every day to renew your mind with the mind of Christ (Romans 12:2). Choose to be set free by the Word of God. Call to God and He will answer you, and show you things which you do not know. Let the words of the prophet Jeremiah (33:3) be the cry of your heart today! And continue to fight the good fight, children of The Most High King! Because Your God has already set you free and gave you the victory!
May God Bless you and Keep you always.
With warmest regards,
And In Service of The Most High King,
