Being Human on BBC America will have some cast changes. In was announced today, January 09, that Sinead Keenan, who played Nina the werewolf will not be in season four and that Russell Tovey, who plays George will make an early exit in the series.
So with only Lenora Crichlow, who plays Annie the ghost, how can the show possibly go on?

Enter the new blood, so to speak. Michael Socha, who played Tom the young werewolf from last season, will now be the werewolf in the house, whereas a completely new character Hal, played by Damien Monlony, will be the new vampire element.
With so many changes for season 4 of the UK hit, will you give season 4 a chance? Toby Whithouse is banking on it.
According to NME.com Toby states:
Introducing the new cast, Whithouse said: “Not only would it be our first series without Aidan, but Russell had decided that series four would be his last, and Sinead had decided that her Being Human journey had come to and end after series three. The mountain before us seemed even higher than usual.
“But once we’d stopped rocking and shaking, we saw series four as an opportunity: we could invent new characters, expand the show in different directions, create new worlds and monsters and heroes, and add new layers to the overarching Being Human mythology.”
Over on the BBC newsbeat, Lenora Crichlow also chimed in about the changes:
“Our fans are so important and so loyal, it’s always been nerve-wracking seeing what they think.”
She added: “Hopefully they’ll take to the changes and they’ll stick with us.”
She also gives the fans hope that the show, while different is still at its heart the same:
“It’s still definitely Being Human in its essence and the formula and its ethos and the real heart of the show is still there so it’s not a complete curve ball.”
Though we still have a wait until Being Human (UK) airs here in the states, it appears that we also have nothing to worry about in regards to Syfy’s version. It could be because contracts are done differently here (U.S.) vs. the U.K. where they have to negotiate with the actors each season. So chances are we will have the same three actors (Sam Witwer, Sam Huntington, Meaghan Rath) for a long to time to come.
What do you think of this news? Will you give season 4 a chance or will you skip it?
