As fans asked about the new V3 Fight card for the upcoming fights on Saturday night March 3, 2012. I was approached to ask Bobby Oller a few questions, he is 29 years old from Hope, Arkansas and fights out of Little Rock. I recently asked team mate of his a few so I decided to ask the same questions: It’s amazing to see how fighters think the same yet differently…
Me: Do you plan to make fighting a career?
Oller: It’s too early to say a career is in order.
Me: What was the defining moment in your life that made you decide to become an MMA fighter?
Oller: Learning the arm bar in the military ten years ago.
Me: How has this decision effected your family?
Oller: I have a very supportive family, biggest fans by far, love them all.
Me: Do you compare your fight style to anyone, if so who?
Oller: If I had to compare my self to anyone locally it would be Pro fighter Dave Lindsey, UFC level would be Dan Henderson.
Me: What or Who has been your biggest inspiration?
Oller: My biggest inspiration has always been to make my family proud.
Me: What seperates you from every other fighter in your division?
Oller: What seperates me I believe is the different approach my coaches have built for me that you will hardly see. I’d elaborate but I’d rather show you, lol.
Me: What do you think is the hardest style of fighting that is out there?
Oller: That’s a really hard question because with the rules some are more brutal than others. I respect Thai fighters and Boxers a great deal. Catch wrestlers are another kind of animal.
Me: If you could change anything about this sport today what would it be?
Oller: I would change the image, Tv shows like Caged and nonsense backyard fighting isb’t what you see at a pro gym.
Me: You train under Roli “The Crazy Cuban” Delgado…He fought in Bellator 37, Ultimate Fighter, and UFC 99. Do you think this has given you any kind of upper hand? Also, do you think training under ‘Delgado’ has helped you better prepare for your V3 Fights Debut?
Oller: Roli has definitely brought me to a neew level with every aspect of fight, he truly is a student of all fighting styles and technician. Under Roli I just won my biggest match against a very tough opponent from Dallas with great BJJ background.
Me: With V3 Fights the Premier MMA Promotion company in the Mid South, how do you feel about being selected to fight on their card?
Oller: It’s a great show, usually fighting on the AXC with sold out crouds. It shouldn’t be much of a change and hope to put on a show for everyone.
Me: You stand undefeated right now, what are you thoughts as you are about to face the vicious grinding Adam Glenn?
Oller: Don’t know much about Adam, all I can do is fight my game. He’s a veteran of over 20 matches which speaks volumes.
Me: Is there anything that you’d like the fans to personally know about you?
Oller: Personally I pride myself training directly under Hall of Famer ‘Billy Robinson’ who trained greats like Sakuraba and Josh Barnett, he currently teaches his legendary catch wrestling at Westside MMA. It’s a real honor to learn from a master daily.
