The hot topic today across America, not just in Los Angeles, is birth control. Since sex is a major part of dating and relationships, and leads to babies, it is important to be fully informed on the matter before partaking. Yes. Before you partake in the sex, you have a ton of thinking to do. Sorry to ruin the mood, but this is important. Government thinks it’s important too. They think it is so important that they just can’t keep their cold fingers out of the governmental regulation of how women deal with the nature of their bodies.
Let me be clear on the act of sex. Sex leads to babies. If you have unprotected sex and are not on birth control you can get pregnant. If you have protected sex and are not on birth control you can get pregnant. If you have unprotected sex and are on birth control you can get pregnant. If you have protected sex and are on birth control you can get pregnant. If you have sex, you can get pregnant. They don’t teach you this stuff in high school and middle school health classes, and in most religious schools of thought the topic of sex is rarely mentioned. So just in case you were never informed or made aware, sex leads to babies.
Early last week I wrote on the topic of weddings leading to marriages. Well, the sex act is like a wedding. Hopefully. An enjoyable party. If you or your partner gets pregant, which happens if you partake in vaginal intercourse with a female, then your deed can lead to the life of another human. Another human! Science is crazy! Raising a human is the marriage after the wedding. Raising a human requires responsibility. Financial responsibility is a major factor to consider before you even think about intercourse. Because intercourse can lead to the creation of another human life, you must consider this possible outcome and decide whether or not it is a risk you are financially, emotionally, and responsibly stable enough to take care of another human life.
It’s a serious decision. Babies are not commodities. You can’t just dress them in sweaters and stuff them in your purse like Los Angeles socialites and their chihuahuas. It has to be fed, bathed, put to bed, dressed, and changed. Do you have health insurance? Your baby will need it. Giving birth to the baby can cost thousands of dollars. Thousands! And that’s just to be born! Anyway, you get the point. Hopefully.
There is a plethora of birth control available for women and men who are not interested in getting themselves or their partner pregnant. You really have no excuse for being uninformed nowadays with the rate of information, the help of the internet, and the options available for birth control. Of course, if you are ready, financially stable, have an unselfish heart, and a support group of friends an family, forget all this birth control mumbo jumbo and just have at it. If not, protect yourself. The best way, of course, to not get pregnant at all would be to put off sex with your partner until you are emotionally mature enough to process all the information needed to be in an adult sexual relationship.
