We’re going to round up B-weeks of our year of alphabet dating with a suggestion for a favorite getaway for singles and couples alike: Breckenridge.
This weekend is an especially good time to go because not only do you get to take advantage of the skiing, but this weekend you’ll be able to enjoy the Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships! Snow sculptors have been working since January 24th for today’s 10am judging. However, you’ll be able to vote for the people’s choice award until 2pm tomorrow, January 29th. The awards ceremony will be at 3:30.

Though people come from all over the world to visit the famous area ski resorts, Boulder-area daters only have a two-hour drive to get to the beautiful destination. Of course, my advice would be to find a Bed & Breakfast and enjoy more than a day of skiing and snow sculptures.
Breckenridge should be on your best-romantic-getaway list regardless of the time of year. The quaint mountain town offers a distinctive charm in any season. There are boutiques and art galleries and, of course, gorgeous mountain views, as you wander through the streets.
And, if you’re in a partying mood, to celebrate upcoming Mardi Gras, the Breckenridge Bacchus Ball will be held on Feb. 18th at the Beaver Run Ballroom. Whether you’re married or single, there’s always something fun going on in Breckenridge.
