When Resident Evil 6 was officially announced, a few fans believed that the game could potentially hamper the sales of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and Resident Evil: Revelations. According to Christian Svensson, however, the announcement for the next mainline game in the series has benefited both titles. Resident Evil: Revelations will be released exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS in North America on February 7th. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is expected to launch for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 20th. Finally, Resident Evil 6 is slated to launch for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on November 20th with a PC version also coming sometime after the release of the console versions.
