Ben Flajnik chose his final two women Monday night during ABC’s The Bachelor 2012, and the finale is just around the corner. It’s been a bumpy season for fans, and everybody is anxious to watch the “Women Tell All” and “After the Final Rose” specials along with the March 12 finale. Luckily, show host Chris Harrison sheds some light on the drama every week in his Tuesday Entertainment Weekly blog, and this week is no exception. What does Chris have to say about the fantasy dates in Switzerland?
Chris notes that Ben and Nicki “obviously have fun together but their relationship feels young.” As fans noticed, their relationship simply hadn’t progressed to the same degree that Ben’s relationships with Lindzi and Courtney had. Chris admires her and her family, and notes that she is “very brave and strong and not afraid to fall in love again.” Chris mentions that Lindzi seems to have flown under the radar this season, and fans tend to agree. Their date showed “effortless conversation and emotions,” and it seems things are always easy between them. There doesn’t seem to be drama, and during Monday’s episode Lindzi said she was in love with Ben. Some fans think that the Ben Flajnik they saw during Ashley Hebert’s season of The Bachelorette could have been a great match with Lindzi, but this season seems to show a different side of Ben.
Some fans wondered if Courtney Robertson’s apology last week was dubbed in during post-production, and Chris says that is not the case. He says these past two weeks she has been “contrite and apologetic,” and he says this week she went much further in apologizing than last week. Was it enough for Ben and will the viewers warm up to her now? One thing viewers have noticed, and Chris mentions as well, is that Courtney Robertson is very good at maintaining the power in her relationship with Ben. While the other two women accepted Ben’s invitation to the fantasy suite, Courtney turned it around and asked Ben to accept the invitation. Chris calls it a defense mechanism of Courtney’s, but fans don’t necessarily see it that way.
After the dates, Kacie Boguskie showed up to talk to Ben. Chris said she was “incredibly articulate in expressing her thoughts,” and Harrison felt Ben was equally as articulate in responding. Viewers will be very interested to hear from Kacie during next week’s “Women Tell All” special. By the time Chris and Ben got together for the rose ceremony deliberation, Chris says Ben was “a mess” after meeting with Kacie and having doubts once again about Courtney. Ultimately, however, Robertson got the rose. Chris teases, however, that Ben’s uncertainty will “continue to play out in the finale.”
Do you think Ben Flajnik will end up with the woman of his dreams? Will they make it down the wedding aisle? Tune in to watch the “Women Tell All” special next Monday night, with the finale and “After the Final Rose” special of ABC’s The Bachelor 2012 on March 12.
