Los Angeles (February 19, 2012) — Colonial Life’s sales organization receives some of the best training in the country, according to three national organizations that recently recognized the company for the excellence of its training programs. That training is now available to licensed agents in the Los Angeles area.
The company’s sales training department has been named a Learning! 100 award winner by the Elearning! Media Group. Learning! 100 awards recognize the top 100 organizations for their best-in-class learning and development programs and enabling a learning culture that creates outstanding organizational performance. Colonial Life’s selection as a Learning 100 organization was based on a case study outlining the success of its new manager development program. Award winners will be honored at the Enterprise Learning! Summit in March in Washington, D.C.
American Society for Training & Development
Colonial Life’s new manager development program also received an Excellence in Practice Citation in the Career Development category from the American Society for Training & Development. The ASTD awards program recognizes exemplary practices in workplace learning and development. Citations are presented for newer practices that don’t yet have year-over-year results. ASTD is the world’s largest association dedicated to workplace learning and development professionals. ASTD will honor recipients at an awards ceremony at its International Conference & Exposition in May in Denver.
A training module for Colonial Life’s Group Medical Bridge 1.0 product was selected as a presentation topic by the eLearning Guild for its national conference in March. Colonial Life employees Christina Wakefield, assistant vice president, curriculum development & advanced sales training, and Susie Baker, sales training & development consultant, will speak at the conference in Orlando, Fla. The eLearning Guild is the oldest and most trusted source of information, networking, and community for e-learning professionals. The Guild produces conferences, online events, e-books, research reports, and Learning Solutions Magazine.
