We all know that guys are #1 fans of technology and its gadgets. However, we all women love our smart phones, tablets, DSLR cameras and (why not?) video games just as much as they do. At our home, we have about six white cables for two iPhones and one iPad That should be enough, right? Misteriously, my husband and I always end up fighting over the “same” single cord everyday. So, to solve this very complicated case, I decided to “disguise” one of the cords. I remembered this idea from the Friendship Ear Buds project and thought: “that’s it!” I was positve that I would no longer need to explain to hubby why my white phone cord is different than his by wrapping it in yarn. I had a bag full of it somewhere… Anyway, he would find my cord so ugly that he’d refuse to use them. Case closed. Well… So I thought.
For my surprise, he liked it so much that he immediately asked not only all cords to be customized also but a case for his iPad too!
Did I say this is a complicated case? Scratch that. This is a cold case. Wait, scratch. A warm case. :-)
Happy creating everyone!
About this project: the link above takes you to the tutorial. When tying, I played a bit with the knots by switching sides, tying always on the same side and passing the yarn over or under the cord. I was able to make straight, zig-zag and spiral lines but you can create your own pattern!
