Hopefully you got to enjoy the spring weather in Columbus on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately that air mass will be long gone for the weekend. A cold front will sweep through the region Saturday morning bringing cooler, but not frigid, temperatures. This will not be a blast from the arctic like we saw earlier this week. It looks like the front will be moisture starved when it arrives in Ohio. So expect nothing other than a few clouds to start off your Saturday. If you are heading out tonight (Friday), we’ll see clear skies and a bit of breeze with temps falling from the middle 50s to the middle 40s after midnight. The sun will make an appearance once again on Saturday afternoon. Highs will only make it to about 45 degrees though which is over 10 degrees colder than this afternoon. Sunday starts out on a cold note in the 20s and will finish just shy of 40 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
The first couple days next week will be quiet as temperatures slowly make a rebound. However, a big weather system will swing through on Wednesday bringing rain and another potential plunge of arctic air by the end of next week. Right now it looks similar to what we saw at the beginning of last week with highs in the 20s and lows in the teens. A few snow showers will also be possible in the coldest air by the end of next week. Have a great weekend!
