DJ E-V of Cleveland has released a new mix tape entitled “Reckless Wobbles” in colaboration with Benzi and Young and Reckless. The mix begins with an intro from Drama, the founder of Young and Reckless Clothing, and states that it’s filled with remixes and is the “Official Soundtrack of 2012”. This very well could be. The mix begins with a hard mix of Daddy’s Lambo by Yelawolf, and begins the dubstep party early and often. In phenominal blends of bass and vocals, this great intro sets up the rest of the mix well.
With top artists such as Waka Flocka Flame, Wiz Khalifa, Jay-Z, and Kanye West featured on this mix, it’s definately one to put on a bass heavy mp3 player with killer headphones. The mix also features local upcoming rap star Machine Gun Kelly, who is making a surge on the Cleveland rap and DJ scene. It also features local rap superstar Kid Cudi, also a Cleveland native. As found in The Move mixtape, DJ E-V has an Ohio theme in one of the mixes on the track. This time it’s a remix of Cleveland by Machine Gun Kelly. With huge bass drops, the hit by MGK takes on a new style which compliments the mix very well.
Reckless Wobbles also includes an amazing remix of Levels by Avicii and Skrillex. The heavy bass influence of Skrillex continues throughout the album with DJ E-V’s personal twist. Another great track on the mix is Same Old Song by The Weekend, which combines a great R&B song with dubstep in a great fusion of lyrics and bass.
A legendary part of the mix is the remix of Paris by Jay-Z featuring Kanye West. The song is already a hit, and this remix is no exception to this fact. Also remixed is the hit I’m On One by DJ Khaled and Drake. These two songs both add variety and excellent quality to the mix.
The other great thing about this mix is how it flows well together. The transitions from song to song are seamless, and when played online or on iTunes has great turnovers from one track to the next.
