You know your dog is hot stuff, so here’s your opportunity to show everyone else. Columbus photographer Danielle Neil enjoyed such a great response last year that she’s hosting The Cutest Dog in Columbus Contest as an annual event. Entries for the 2012 contest will be accepted until February 10, so start snapping photos of your pooch and enter to win a professional photo shoot wih Danielle Neil Photography.
Professional photos aren’t allowed as entries into this contest, but you can still learn to take better snapshots of your pets by following some photography tips that the pros use. Being able to adjust the settings on your camera is key if you hope to catch your pooch in action, and make sure to get down to his level rather than taking shots from above. Using your zoom function to fill the frame with that adorable face also crops out a lot of distracting background clutter.
All valid entries for the Cutest Dog in Columbus Contest will be available to vote for online from February 15-22, after which two entries will be chosen as prize winners. Anyone living within a 45 mile radius of Columbus may enter, and prize winning photo session must be completed by May 15, 2012.
Last year’s winner was a photogenic Cockapoo named Desh. Does your dog have what it takes to win?
