The annual Downtown Campbell Winter Wine Walk is now in it’s fifth fabulously successful season. This popular event takes place in and around quaint Campbell Avenue on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, from 5 until 9 p.m.
Enjoy award winning wines and shop ‘til you drop
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, many shops will remain open well after their normal hours, welcoming shoppers, hosting wineries, and offering snacks and munchies. The Downtown Campbell Business Association (DCBA) – once again the major sponsor of the event – encourages guests to shop, to linger, to explore each unique location, and to speak with winemakers and participating shop owners.
Experience exotic and unusual wine tasting venues
This examiner has eagerly enjoyed these events, meeting wonderfully friendly people, discovering one-of-a-kind shops, and experiencing wine tasting in one of the most unlikely of places – a mortuary. Every Wine Walk, Darling-Fischer Campbell Memorial Chapel opens their doors to their very warm and welcoming milieu. The wines have been excellent, and the food has always been tasty and generous.
Exotic cars may be more intriguing, so check out Import Connection, where Porsche and BMW – among other fascinating motor cars – form an inviting backdrop for wine and munchables.
The 30+ participating wineries include:
Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards
