High pressure over Ohio this morning, will drift east into Pennsylvania this afternoon. Sunny to partly cloudy skies can be expected across the Akron area today. Highs today will be in the low 40s.
A storm developing in the Plains states will head toward the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes tonight. Clouds in advance of this system will overspread the area this evening, with rain to follow after midnight. Lows in Akron will drop to the mid 30s early tonight, then slowly rise overnight.
On Wednesday, low pressure will move through the Great Lakes and into Ontario. A warm front will lift north of the area placing most of northeastern Ohio in the warm sector. Temperatures will rise to the upper 50s in the Akron area with showers and thunderstorms expected. A few of the storms could be severe with damaging winds possible.
A cold front will sweep across the area Wednesday evening with showers gradually tapering off. A few showers will linger through Thursday morning before ending as drier air spreads across the region. Highs Thursday will be in the low 40s.
