If you’re planning on attending the Eastern Sports & Outdoor Show in Harrisburg (Feb. 4-12), the show organizers have developed a new and easier way to navigate this massive show.
“If you have a must-see list of exhibitors, particularly a special outfitter, you want to meet during the show, the My Show Planner enables the creation of a personal account to help organize exhibitor’s names and locations and meeting time in a personal calendar,” said Deb Davis, media relations manager for the show. The section, said Davis, also includes a detailed map of the Farm Show Complex as well as a list of show events and vendor show specials.
And if you’re looking for a specific exhibitor, or list of exhibitors who sell hunting equipment for example, the new ESS Exhibitor Directory allows you to search on your Smartphone (or web enabled device) for specific booth names, category, hall location or booth number. The ESS Exhibitor Directory allows quick access to information about new products and featured exhibitors.
To use this free service, download it at SportsmanShow2Go.com, then simply enter your cell phone number and you’ll have access to several features including Point-to-Point Navigation, Show Maps, Exhibitor Lists, Special Events, New Products, Show Specials Searches and Parking Updates.
Patrons can also save money and time without having to stand in line to buy tickets by doing it online plus receive discounts to boot. The Travel Section includes driving directions, parking information and shuttle information, which, a primary point is Bass Pro Shop’s parking lot.

This year’s show is being sponsored by the Outdoor Channel, Comcast, Cabela’s, Chevy, Thompson/Center Arms and Progressive Insurance.
Chevy, incidentally, will have their full line of cars and trucks on display including several Consumer Digest Best Buys plus the new high-mileage Sonic with an estimated 40-mpg highway. Other models will be the hot Camaro SS and 2013 Malibu Eco.
