Have you ever felt bottomed-out tired? The kind of exhaustion that has you struggling to get through your day, and simple tasks? This feeling of fatigue has been a common complaint among many of my own clients and is a common side-effect of many auto-immune disorders out there. In my experience, the underlying culprit is a gut imbalance caused by candida albicans.
Candida is an unfriendly, pathogenic bacteria that thrives in an acidic environment produced by the Standard American Diet, and overuse of anti-biotics. Candida feed on sugars and starch, a common craving of many of us, sometimes to the point of addiction, especially when we are feeling stressed, and over-worked. After feeding on sugars, these bacteria produce toxic by-products which cause us to feel dizzy, foggy, and fatigued.
Some other symptoms of candida overgrowth can be irritability, an inability to concentrate, headaches, indigestion, a white coating on the toungue, and frequent yeast infections in women.
Repopulating your gut with the help of a high quality probiotics, cultured vegetables, supported by diet and lifestyle changes are key to healing from this infection. It can be done. For more information, I am hosting a free information session, Wednesday, February 29th.
