I don’t try to convince people to take care of themselves, because it’s such a waste of space. I write for people who want to live long and look younger and know it’s a process.
People joke that they don’t mind getting old, they just don’t want to look old. Self-deprecating humor, but generally true.
The reality is most people look terrible compared to how most of us want to look. Most of us look older than we are, and a fat out-of-shape body has become the national uniform
The only places you can find more good-looking than fat out-of-shape people are TV shows and gyms.
Getting fat and out-of-shape takes effort
It takes effort to ruin your body, but it’s not hard effort and definitely not worthy of a trophy.
When you see a fat person you know they overeat things we all know are bad for our bellies, health, and longevity. Those same people also avoid the things we all know are good for us such as eating wisely and exercising.
That the majority of the population is fat and out-of-shape does not make it a good thing, it just proves it’s so easy anybody can do it. Yay, everybody gets a trophy.
Don’t shoot the writer
All I’m doing is pointing out things we already know and should be doing. If you don’t want to hear it go read something else.
If you want to look and feel the best ever, and live as long as possible you can start by making decisions (lifestyle choices) that control these:
Those are the destroyers. They aren’t the only ones, but they are way up on the list. Each is bad by itself, but two or more out of whack at the same time and you are on the road to disaster. It guarantees you will look and feel worse than most people your own age and even those much older than yourself.
Even if you don’t care
That’s rare, but some people don’t care how they look and feel. At the same time I know people knocking on one hundred that still care how they look (which I would say is a big part of why they are almost one hundred). They still watch what they eat and they do things to stay active.
Slowing down is more excusable for a very-senior citizen, but it’s totally lame when somebody in their thirties or forties doesn’t have the energy or flexibility to play with their grand kids or make it up a flight of stairs (or to put it into the context of the changing culture – fight off a home invader).
People joke about getting old, fat, and infirm; but ask somebody it’s happened to and you’ll find that it’s not amusing and they are prone to saying they wish they had taken better care of themselves.
CLUE: If you want a body that turns heads just watch what the majority is doing, and do the exact opposite.
Here’s a motivator If you want to look really great: It is an easy task because today the majority of us look so awful it’s simple to make your body stand out from the crowd.
Oh no that’s too hard, is there something easier ?
Barring some miraculous discovery, humans are forever going to have to eat sanely and be active if they want to look great and live as long as possible.
Here’s the part that ought to worry everybody: if a scientific breakthrough comes along that tacks an extra couple decades onto life, we will have to be alive and in good health when it hits in order to take advantage of it.
Any really fat and out-of-shape person that can look at the above two paragraphs and rationalize that they’d rather just be able to keep doing what they are doing now, really ought to consider professional help because they are choosing to ruin the quality of their lives if not kill themselves.
Will the anti-aging movement save us ?
Wanting to look younger is fueling the anti-aging industry, which is what it has become — an industry. Like any industry, anti-aging has, in my opinion, spawned a bunch of rip offs aimed at taking advantage of people that think anti-aging means miracle products that require no effort. Good luck with that strategy.
Cosmetic surgery is representative of the no effort overnight results mentality that is like a plague on good health.
Cosmetic surgery isn’t a bad thing, especially if somebody has something that really bothers them. If it was free I might have my eyes done. Major face lifts I’m not so sure about – too many human cartoon characters walking around. Lipo is another crutch for people who won’t do the nutrition and exercise thing.
Plus there there is something creepy about no cellulite on a still fat butt or thighs. Likewise a super-tight face on top of a fat out-of-shape body. Those are too much like admitting I’m too whipped to take care of myself, but I know I look like crap so I’ll try something easy.
Anti-aging secret shortcuts are available
There are a few nutritional supplements that can improve how you look and feel, and address the five killers noted back at the beginning. It’s a small group of products and you have to be able to sort them out so you don’t get ripped off, but they are available and not terribly expensive.
I only write about supplements I use. You can read about some of them in my past articles and on my website.
In the near future I’ll show you a few supplements that are so good I believe everybody should take them. I’m finishing an article about one that gives you demonstrable results in short order so keep your eyes open or subscribe to notifications.
By the way, if you wonder why you should take my word for anything about anti-aging, consider this: If you know anybody my age that looks as good I do, including your doctor, listen to them. Otherwise you might want to at listen to what I say.
Keep in mind I firmly believe it is wrong to pay more attention to looks than to health. To wit: Hormones can affect your physique, but can ruin your health. Same for drugs and OTC supplements that make your metabolism go crazy so you can burn some calories without doing anything.
Now the weird finale
If you take care of yourself by watching what you eat and getting some real exercise – you will look and feel better than you do now and the transformation will begin almost at once. Honestly it’s not possible for the strategy to not work.
Facelifts and Ferraris do not make fat out-of-shape guys look cool any more than tattoos make fat females look fit.
