High pressure will continue to move east across New York State today while a developing storm system will track into the Western Great Lakes by Wednesday. While today will remain dry, we’ll see an increasing chance of mixed precipitation toward daybreak on Wednesday as moisture overspreads our region. How much of this mixed precipitation starts as snow and continues as snow in areas well south of Buffalo remains to be seen. For the City, there will be a period of mixed snow and rain before changing over to all rain. A tricky 48 hour forecast is ahead.
Today: Partly sunny skies with increasing thickening clouds by later afternoon. Highs in the lower 30’s. Tonight, late snow possibly mixed with rain developing after midnight. Lows remaining in the lower 30’s. Southerly winds near 10mph. Wednesday will see any mixed precip changing over to rain. Milder with highs in the lower 40’s.
