Café Pita +, the deservedly well-publicized, low-key Bosnian restaurant in west Houston, is offering a terrific deal for the month of February. For just $25 plus tax and tip, two of you can enjoy a choice of an appetizer, two pizzas, and a dessert. That is $25 for two people.
I ate there the other day as part of a five year anniversary event. It had been a while, though I used to really enjoy the restaurant. It is just no longer as convenient as when I could walk across the street from my office. The food was still very good, noticeably healthy-tasting – the meat is halal and the use of olive oil is prevalent – and, best of all, flavorful. The pizzas, which are individually-sized and relatively thin-crust, are especially good. With an enjoyably doughy and crusty base, those might have been my favorite items at the dinner.
This February special is amazing. It is even more so because Café Pita + remains BYOB-only, and they do not charge a corkage fee.
