FarmVille has released early access to their fifth farm expansion, Hawaiian Paradise!
Players who wish to gain early access can do so by paying 45 Farm Cash. No worries if you’re low on Farm Cash – Hawaiian Paradise will be released to everyone free of charge very soon.
As you get ready to go on this tropical FarmVille trip, you’ll notice things are run a little differently in paradise. Here’s a rundown of some of the bigger changes you’re going to see:
As you work on quests and begin planting and harvesting, you’ll notice that you’re using and earning Coconuts. This is a new currency in FarmVille, and it will be used heavily in the Hawaiian Paradise for things like land expansions, items and much more. You’ll start out with 8,000 Coconuts when you enter the land.
In Lighthouse Cove, we expanded the cove. In Winter Wonderland, it was the Train Station. Now, in Hawaiian Paradise, you’ll be expanding a Volcano Reef. You’ll be collecting parts to expand it, and harvesting from it each day.
In Hawaiian Paradise, you will be plowing, planting and harvesting on both land AND water. There will be special crops for the land and all-new sea crops as well. There are photos from the FarmVille Market in the slideshow to the left so you can check out all the new things we’ll be planting. There are plot limits in Hawaii too, you’ll start with 10 water plots and up to 45 land plots.
If you’re in paradise, it only makes sense that you’ll be finding some hidden treasures. Much like the Snow Treasures in Winter Wonderland, you’ll be discovering both beach and sea treasures. You’ll need to collect Crowbars or Fishing Nets to find out what kind of treasure you’ve found.
All of the Animal Habitats we’ve come to know and love have been redesigned for Hawaiian Paradise. There’s also a new pen for aquatic animals. All of these buildings will need parts in order to construct them. Your Hawaiian Paradise will come with one Bunny Hutch already placed that you’ll need to finish building. All the other habitats are available in the FarmVille Market for Coconuts.
What would a farm space be without a place to craft recipes with all your bushels? Hawaiian Paradise has a new Tiki Bar you’ll be spending some time in as you work on crafting some all-new goodies. This will work the same as the other crafting buildings – the more you craft, the bigger you can expand the building. When you enter your Tiki Bar, you’ll have a Poi recipe ready to complete, and 9 Taro bushels so you can make more if you wish.
You’re expecting a Tractor, Seeder, Harvester and Combine. You’ll be able to get them all, of course. The equipment has it’s own section in this article because it too has been redesigned and there are vehicles you can construct for both your land AND water crops. Your farm will come with a Combine that you’ll need to add parts to in order to use.
New Crops and Bushels
We wouldn’t want to travel to a new land and have to plant the same old crops that have already been mastered. In Hawaiian Paradise, you’ll be planting things like Hilo Pineapple, Yams, Taro and Yellowfish Tuna. All of the new crops can produce Bushels upon harvesting, which in turn you can use for crafting new recipes. You’ll also spend and earn Coconuts with each plant/harvest.
One of the things FarmVille players have been requesting for quite some time is water animals. Their wishes are being granted in Hawaiian Paradise, with several new animals being discovered in the game. You can expect to see a Humpback Whale, a Swordfish and many more water animals floating around. Your land comes with a Manta Ray in the water, ready for harvesting.
There are already land expansions available for the new farm, and the first five can be purchased with Coconuts.
It wouldn’t be a new FarmVille space without a new set of quests. As soon as you enter Hawaiian Paradise, you’ll be greeted with a brand new set of quests to work on. They’re worth participating in, as the rewards will include Coconuts for you. Looking for help on the Chapter 1 quests? Find it in this article.
