Toronto clothing boutiques are already stocking their shelves and hangers with spring wear, even though we’re still in the midst of winter. And now as we start to approach March, we’re all especially ready to start ditching the heavy layers for lighter and brighter spring clothes.
One of the biggest trends on the runway for spring 2012 is floral prints, as seen at New York Fashion Week. Whether it’s a small, delicate pattern or bold and bright, keep an eye out for clothes with flowers on it if you want to follow the trends.
If you want to be a fashionista, also look for bright, saturated colours to add to your wardrobe. Colour blocking is still a popular as well. On the flip side, peach, sea foam, and pastel colours were seen often on the runway as a growing trends.
Structurally, dropped hems, higher necklines, and sleeves are showing a more demure look for Spring 2012.
