How many of you are like me? You have a ton of craft projects started but you never find time to actually finish them? They just keep piling up, along with the guilt you are feeling. That is the story of my life!
I love to knit, crochet and quilt. It’s my passion. It’s fun! I love all the various aspects to each craft – deciding on what to make, picking out a pattern, choosing the materials & supplies, taking the initial steps to start the project (the first cast on or cutting of fabric), even working on the project. But then, slowly, I get bored. I want to start a new project. I want to play with new yarn or fabric. So, what do I do? Probably the same thing that a lot of other people do – I give in the temptation and start the new project. Leaving, of course, a big pile of unfinished projects making me feel guilty.
That is exactly why I started the Finish it Friday series on my blog. I wanted the motivation to actually start finishing things. I thought the accountability of having to report each Friday what I’d finish would be motivating enough for me as well. I even started a Finish it Friday Facebook group too. We have lots of members and are all receiving a great deal of motivation and encouragement!
If any of you are like me, and have a lot of projects started but not so many finishes, please consider joining the Finish it Friday series! We’d love to have you!
