Recently, I reviewed a class at the Lifetime Fitness South Austin location called Fitness Pilates. Being a traditionally trained Pilates Instructor through Physical Mind Institute and being open to creativity in training clients and athletes, this class was very good.
The instructor absolutely knew the exercises she was teaching and led them in a way that was easy to follow and understand. Her routine was varied and challenging. Her music selection was nice and flowed well with the moves she chose. The class was full for a Sunday afternoon and she was welcoming and put new-comers at ease.
My overall review of this class is an A-. I would suggest that the instructor give more direction on modifications for the new-comers, injury laden and pregnant women. I would also recommend that she ask the participants to place their mats horizontally rather than vertically in order to have a better view of her and the demonstration of the exercises.
I would attend this class again and recommend that anyone looking for a great Pilates workout check out this class at Lifetime Fitness South.
