You survived the holidays. Now you’ve traded in the hustle and bustle of the holidays for the hustle and bustle of going back to school and work, and your children, who just loved all the toys and games and electronics they got last month, are bored again.
So what’s going on around Jacksonville that you and your children can do together? How about the circus?
“The Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus: Dragons” is in Jacksonville at the Jacksonville Veteran’s Memorial Arena from Thursday, January 19th through Sunday the 22nd. Tickets range from $15 to $69 plus fees.
Show times are 7:30 Thursday and Friday, 11:30, 3:30 and 7:30 Saturday, and 1pm and 5pm Sunday. For circus ticket information, go here.
If you and your children would prefer to enjoy this great weather outdoors, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is featuring fun new exhibits. The Tuxedo Coast exhibit shows off Magellanic penguins in Play Park, and okapi are now on display near the African boardwalk. For more information about these interesting animals, go to the zoo’s website.
And the Museum of Science and History has a new exhibit about Florida during World War II, running now through July 13. To learn more about Floridians serving their country, rationing, military recruitment and training and more, go to the MOSH website.
