Keep everything as it is or make changes. Make changes, that is, if they want to survive with hope of a different future.
Any system that projects systemic cronyism and deploys oppressive measures to keep certain people on top or to advance some at the expense of other, will sooner or later be hated by the people.
This was in part what was happening in Arkansas in 1919. Now I know a some people and politicians will disagree and say that most people did what they were suppose to do in 1919. Poppycock! Lets admit the truth so that sort of thing may not happen again.
Those men should have been allowed to meet. There should never have come a riot or massacre. There never should have been fear of some whites that their life styles could come to an end. We should tell the full truth. Likewise calling something capitalism, does not make it so for all people unless their lawful rights are ptotected.
I remember in Jr. High School, when Martin Luther King was killed. I can still picture some of the more vocal white kids taunting some of us and saying, “I have a dream”. They would laugh and ask what that dream could be since he is now dead. I knew the kids and understood that they really thought King was a trouble maker and he got his comeuppance. These were not mean kids. They were miseducated at home.
I have often wondered, what comes to the minds of those still living as they recall their actions. After all hind sight is 20 /20 and most everyone counts Martin Luther King to be an American hero now. This has become a lesson to me about being human.
From now on when we speak about progressivism, lets remember Glenn Beck have been on the forefront of pointing out its roots and errors which we all need to know. We also need to understand that unrighteousness in any system makes it oppressive. Just arguing freemarkets and capitalism without a contrete definition of it is near useless. We need to point out step by step why captialism only works with individual freedom which MUST be coupled with righteousness.
Any law that does not allow a person to do unto other as they would have them do unto them; or any law, rule, custom, tax, action that leads to thoughts to do the opposite is unjust. A free and righteous people will not always endure it.
These roots of unjustice can creep into any system, organization, business, union or other endeavor of man. Let’s begin to tell the whole story about our past and how that every thing called by a name was not because they were unAmerican in beliefs but sometimes they came about because we allowed evil into our system to fester. We all owe it to our founders and our posterity to make out paths clear and straight.
