Looking for a green, family friendly, educational activity in Los Angeles?
Try Going Green Together, the 2012 Los Angeles Environmental Education Fair, Saturday, March 10 at the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden.
The fair offers educators and parents lesson plans, activites and other useful resources for incorporating environemtnal education into children’s’ lives.
More than sixty environmental organizations will also be on hand to provide information, material and advice for getting kids to go green.
The fair also offers its own entertainment and hands-on activities; with music, art, storytelling, animals, workshops, tours and a treasure hunt.
The Ecological Treasure Hunt–open to students in grades 4 through 12 (and their families)–challenges teams to explore the Arboretum using a map and compass. Then the teams compete by answering questions about the world of nature.
