The world of high fashion magazines is exciting and glamorous. Most of us have browsed through our share of magazines to get a glimpse into the lives of the elite few. One of the things that I love most about Chicago is that there is plenty of fun here for “ordinary people.” So, there is no better place to launch a fashion and culture magazine with something for everyone, than Chicago. On March 5, 2012, Half Stack Magazine launches online. It will be brimming with relevant content about Chicago fashion, culture, people and events.
The magazine has already generated a following on the Half Stack Magazine fan page and on Twitter. With the financial help of their supporters, they have also reached their Kickstarter funding goal. Excitement is building as the highly anticipated launch date draws near.
Following the online launch, the Half Stack Magazine launch party will be held on March 8, 2012 at local hot spot, Deuces and The Diamond Club, in the Wrigleyville, Lakeview area. Although, Half Stack Magazine will be an online publication, print copies of the inaugural edition will be available at the launch event. The evening will include a Fashion Showcase featuring the designs of Brooke Conrady of Blank National Apparel. A portion of the proceeds go to the Live Out Loud Charity, an organization dedicated to the prevention of suicide among youth.
