Do you have a special hobby or craft that occupies your time and energy? I recently had a chance to talk to a wonderful lady who shares her art with friends and family! Gayle Phillips is a very special friend who loves creating beautiful cards both for heself and to share with friends.
Gayle says we were brought up on sending and receiving cards for every kind of occassion. Birthdays, New Babies, Anniversaries, Holidays, Thank You, Thinking of You, and Sympathy cards to name a few. Sending a card is letting a person know that you have them on your mind…..These are very special because every time you make a card, following an example, you make little changes that allow you to ‘put a bit of yourself’ into each card.
Creating your own special, personalized card is like saying to the person, ‘you are worth my time and effort!’ Since October 2009 Gayle has been making, sending and selling Stampin’ UP cards. This is how she keeps herself busy and helps her make a little personal spending money. She smiles and says it basically helps pay for her hobby!
Gayle says don’t worry if you think yourself “not creative” because Stampin’ UP makes it easy. They provide tools and ideas to get you started.. And as a consultant, Gayle is always helpful, though NOT pushy, in guiding you toward making a card that expresses YOU; and lets you have the card that says, what it is YOU want to say! (No more searching racks of kind-of appropriate, sort-of-what you want to say cards and paying upwards to $3-4 each–and that doesn’t include the gas to get to the store!)
You can create superior cards with matching colors of ink and card-stock. There are tremendous water-color pencils that can turn a plain design into a model of a water color impressionist masterpiece, just by using a special blending pen! Talk about personalizing your greetings!
Gayle says she keeps herself involved and busy by hosting “stamp-a-stack’ workshops at her house. She also will hold a workshop in Your home for your frineds & family. Hey…what a great craft idea for your kids’ biirthday party! My own young teens and their friends love creating cards for their friends.
If you want to find out more about this special creative hobby, you can contact Gayle via this link: http://gaylesstampinnook.stampinup.net . You will find her schedule of events, as well as access to products.
Gayles is creative and talented in many ways. She loves sewing and scrapbooking, as well as gardening and baking. If you attend a Stampin’ Up event…you’ll likely get to taste some of the goodies she bakes to snack on!
