Lindsay Lohan is always a topic in the news and on the web, and it is usually not in a praise-worthy way. The troubled star has a lot to prove and will have a chance to start on Saturday March 3, when she host “Saturday Night Live.”

Lohan did an interview with Matt Lauer on NBC’s, “The Today Show,” which will air on Thursday March 1st.
“I still need to go through the process of proving myself,” said Lohan.
She also tells Lauer in the interview that she is “clean and sober” and that she wants “to continue to move forward in the right direction.”
Lohan has been in the news regarding her substance abuse, partying, Playboy photos, her 2007 DUI arrest and the theft of a necklace in 2011. She is well on her way to being free of formal probation, her next court date is March 29th.
She also tells Lauer she is avoiding the temptation of drinking and the nightlife. Stating, “it’s not my thing anymore.”
Hosting Saturday Night Live is a huge first step for Lohan to start the process of redeeming herself in the public eye. She has a lot of redeeming to do, and Saturday Night Live is big way for her to do it. This is a commitment that Lohan cannot afford to screw up.
One of the skits will have Lohan portraying, Callista Gingrich. Will Lohan be able to pull off such a dramatic personality transformation?
Lohan will also have a second chance to prove herself. She has been cast to play Elizabeth Taylor in the new “Lifetime” movie, “Liz and Dick.”
Lohan has appeared on SNL four other times. She has a long list of movies and television appearances that began when she was a child.
See Lohan with musical guest Jack White on March 3, 2012. Saturday Night Live airs at 10:30 PM CST on NBC.
