“We are thrilled to have Michael Feinstein, one of America’s great artistic treasures, return to the State Theatre for this much anticipated annual event, widely regarded as one of the most enjoyable evenings in the New Jersey arts season. The three honorees have made remarkable contributions to the arts and our community. Aetna’s commitment to health and our quality of life, and Russ and Stephanie Deyo’s generous and thoughtful philanthropy are unsurpassed in our universe of philanthropic partners. In the Mason Gross School of the Arts we have a valued artistic and programming partner, whose Dean George Stauffer and faculty in dance, theatre, and opera are rich and incomparable resources that help drive the State’s artistic quality, community service, and program expansion,” said Mark W. Jones, State Theatre President & CEO.
This year’s Leadership Award in the Arts will be presented to Mason Gross School of the Arts. “It is a great honor to receive the State Theatre Leadership Award in the Arts from the State Theatre, our next-door neighbor and artistic programming partner. The Mason Gross School of the Arts has been connected with the city from the get-go, operating the Visual Arts Department out of an old department store in the downtown area, then situating its central operations on Theatre Row. We continue to nurture that connection as we perform, exhibit, and engage with the community,” commented Mason Gross School of the Arts Dean George B. Stauffer.
A portion of each ticket price represents a tax-deductible contribution to the State Theatre.
