Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot “Man of Steel” won’t come to theaters until next summer, but fans are buzzing about the film and seeing the new incarnation of the villain Zod. Zod, will be played by Michael Shannon, who was asked by IFC about the character.
“He’s actually a not very scary guy. He’s just trying to do his job, just like anybody.”, Shannon said at the Film Independent Spirit Awards this weekend.
“I don’t know, you know? I don’t want to say,” the actor hesitated…”Some people might hate him, some people might love him. But I’m fond of him. I respect him.”
Shannon tells MTV more about Zod and his lines:
“Zod has some speeches; he has some cool speeches. I got to say some cool stuff, but I can’t say any of it right.”
Then Shannon revealed a line from the film?
“Do you realize the universe is constantly shrinking, Superman?”
Shannon will battle Henry Cavill as Superman, who will be joined by Amy Adams as Lois Lane and an all-star cast which will include Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne.
