The second half of the NBA season starts tonight and things are only going to get even more hectic for every team as they try to scramble to the postseason. Assuming they are healthy come April and May, one team that nobody will want to face despite their regular season struggles are the Los Angeles Lakers. Unless somebody has literally cut off his shooting hand, there is no way Kobe Bryant would miss a chance at a sixth NBA championship. And if The Black Mamba does go deep into the playoffs, he will be rocking a version of the Nike Zoom Kobe 7 that has been given the “Elite” moniker.

Somewhat similar to what LeBron James does with his signature line in releasing a “postseason” model, the Nike Zoom Kobe 7 “Elite” will have the same DNA of the standard Kobe 7s but with some notcieable changes. Snake-like scales wrap around the upper of the shoe that brings back memories of the Nike Zoom Kobe 6, carbon fiber can be found on the heel clip and the black/gold colorway is like the spiritual successor to the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 “Big Stage” and the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 “Black History Month.”
A name like “Elite” does come with some caveats. Namely, the shoe will drop with a $200 price tag, more than what the Nike Zoom Kobe 7 System Supreme costs.
Here is the release information…
