Tuesday, February 28, 2012 is pancake day. What’s in your free Denver IHOP short stack? Well, the same thing that’s in all IHOP short stacks. Lots of calories, tons of carbs (not the good kind) , protein, fat and not much else.
Still, it might be worth stopping by. That is, if you don’t mind gaining an extra pound for charity.
You don’t have to eat the pancakes. If you’re watching your weight, just drop in to make a donation to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Of course, it is a great excuse to justify those empty calories. You could go off your diet for one day. After all, how bad could a short stack of pancakes be?
Well, according to My Fitness Pal, they don’t exactly encourage good health. Here’s the nutritional info for three small buttermilk pancakes from IHOP.
Serving Size: 3 pancakes (1.7 oz / 48g), Calories: 490, Fat: 18g, Carbs: 69g, Protein: 13g
The only surprise here is the 13 grams of protein. Although, if you think about it, the buttermilk and flour combined could explain it.
Still want those free IHOP pancakes? I don’t blame you. They’re delicious. Just stop by one of these three participating Denver area locations:
