The Belle Tones, a 16-member a cappella women’s chorus from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, performs at the Pasadena Central Library on March 11, 2012. This free Second Sunday Concert is sponsored by Tuesday Musicale and also features members of that group.
As the first and only female a cappella group at SMU, The Belle Tones have performed at Relay for Life at SMU, the George W. Bush Presidential Library groundbreaking ceremony, and private events. The group includes freshmen through seniors from several different states.
Tuesday Musicale members performing music of Scarlatti, Beethoven, Debussy and Ravel at the concert are Jo Ann Hakonsson, Eve Lubin, Margie Fain, Ophelia Nanagyulyan, Judith Cain and Jo Ann Haycraft.
