The wife of the disgraced and convicted former Governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich, will be interviewed on Oprah Winfrey Network’s ‘The Rosie Show.’ Blagojevich’s wife Patti Blagojevich, who has been publicly silent since her husband’s conviction will have her say Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 6:00PM.
During the interview, according to Winfrey’s OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network), the former first lady of the Land of Lincoln will be detailing the day the FBI took her husband from their home. She is going to speak about being fired from her job during the ordeal. Additionally, she will be telling how her family plans to cope with her husband serving the long sentence in prison.
The Blagojevich family includes two young school-aged daughters, Anne and Amy.
The former governor was accused of many wrongdoings while serving as Illinois’ top politician. The most publicized of his violations involved his attempted sale or profit from giving President Barack Obama’s senate seat away after Obama vacated the seat when elected president in 2008.
Blagojevich’s start-date in serving his 14-year prison was delayed until next month so that he could assist with selling his house. He will be headed to prison in Colorado on March 15, 2012. His sentence is for 14 years, but he is reportedly going to drop one year by participating in an addiction program while serving his time.
Patti Blagojevich is known to the masses beyond Illinois after appearing in the television program ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me out of Here’ in June of 2009 and came in fourth place. She appeared on the show after her husband was impeached and removed from office.
