Pinellas Park, Florida – Have you seen the latest addition to the micro car market? Known as the Scion iQ, this peppy little micro kaboose from Scion has what it takes to get the job done; in a small way. Micro yet powerful, the little mighty iQ shows its big performance prowess of putting down an impressive 81 wheel horsepower and 73 foot pounds of torque. Just released off the truck as a press vehicle from Sun Toyota, Pete Stop Motor Company was the very first to dyno test the new Scion iQ.

“It is pretty consistent. 81 horsepower, 73 foot pounds of torque – not bad!” – Carter T., Pete Stop Motor Company
Thanks to a CVT transmission and a curb weight of just 2,127 pounds, the new Scion iQ is perfect for the tuner looking to get into the micro car market. I had the guys at Pete Stop take a look under the hood of the iQ and asked if we could turbocharge it. With a happy smile, they said yes! There is plenty of room for a turbocharger in either the engine bay or the rear – Pete Stop can do both.
What do you think of the new Scion iQ? Would you like to tune one of these peppy little go-getters? Comment below!
