If the White House has believed that it’s necessary to watch the euro zone debt crisis closely, perhaps it ought to also note the same of Europe’s disintegration of religious freedom. British Philosopher Roger Trigg, a leading professor at Kellogg College, Oxford and the founding President of the British Society for the Philosophy of Religion has noticed an alarming trend.
Trigg told the Christian Telegraph that British courts are now, “limiting human freedom itself.” In addition, there is apparently a “hierarchy or rights” that has been created in which some rights are more highly valued by the courts than others. He points out that individual rights to freedom of religion are often considered lesser rights, especially if that religion happens to be Christianity. The Christian Telegraph even noted that there have been occasions when Christians in Britain have lost their jobs due to their convictions or even simply for wearing Christian jewelry, and the courts sided against them when they challenged it.
Such a development needs to be a concern for Americans, especially when laws are being put in place on the federal level which make school prayer illegal, block the posting of the 10 commandments, and prohibit the display of Christmas symbols to name just a few examples.
Interestingly, CNS News reported that Shaun Casey,Obama’s 2008 Religious affairs advisor during Obama’s 2008 campaign said this past Tuesday, “I, frankly, am glad American civil religion is dying. But it does raise the practical question, what does bind us together in some way as a country?”
The answer to that really isn’t that complicated. Especially when one considers the push for the religion of green technology on both the national and international levels. If the goal is erasing the borders so that, as John Lennon basically put it in the song Imagine, there are no nations, then national sovereignty will eventually also give way to an international system of law that forms a One World system of government. And the euro zone debt crisis certainly has the potential to be the springboard for not only that, but a One World bank regulatory (monetary) system and an entirely New World Order.
One could even ponder that such a system is rather close at hand given the fact that Business Insider reported on Friday that Fitch credit agency got out a hatchet and, “cut the long-term issuer ratings of 5 EU countries: Belgium: AA+ to AA; Spain: AA- to A; Italy: A+ to A-; Cyprus: BBB to BBB-; Slovenia: AA- to A. It affirmed Ireland’s BBB+ rating with a negative outlook.” It would seem there is a convenient crisis heating up that is beyond just being globally warm – and this particular crisis is undeniably man made.
Even Iran, for all of its tough talk lately, is apparently reaching a point of economic meltdown. Reuters reported that Iran has devalued their currency by eight percent earlier this week, and that they are experiencing inflation of about 20 percent. If fear of their government and Sharia law isn’t binding Iranians together as a nation, just trying to survive probably is.
Even Iran’s buddy, China recognizes the importance of some sort of common bond as a nation. And perhaps China is the pilot for using the religion of green technology. Back in 2009 during the Copenhagen climate change meeting communist China’s vice minister of National Population and Family Planning Commission of china (NPFPC), Zhao Baige, was reported by China Daily to have said, “Population and climate change are intertwined, but the population issue has remained a blind spot when countries discuss ways to mitigate climate change and slow down global warming.”
Eradicating national sovereignty (for the sake of implementing a global governmental system) and a global economic meltdown that leaves most everyone in poverty will also create a situation in which people will be more dependent on a global welfare type system – which gives the government more control to manipulate people. That being said, News Investors posed an interesting headline today: “Is President Obama Creating a Nation of Dependents?” It seems fair to ask given the fact that the number of people on various government programs such as welfare, disability, unemployment, food stamps and the like has increased anywhere from 30-50 percent since he took office, depending on which program is being looked at.
