Many Bangor area residents have an interest in psychokinesis (also called telekinesis), and other paranormal topics. For Bangor area residents, the interest in this top may be personal, but many are interested in this subject because of Bangor author, Stephen King’s, book and movie titled, Carrie. The following is some information that will help interested individuals understand the art of psychokinesis.
What is Psychokinesis?
According to Brian Haughton (2010), psychokinesis is the ability of the human mind to affect objects without the use of any known physical force. None of the five human senses are used during the process of moving or manipulating objects. There are two types of psychokinesis. Macro-psychokinesis involves moving solid objects such as; spoons, books, and furniture. Macro-psychokinesis is also used to bend spoons and other objects. Micro-psychokinesis is the ability to manipulate chance. An example of manipulating chance is a person being able to change the numbers on a digital clock.
Who can use this Ability?
Many people claim to be able to move and manipulate objects with their minds, but the true power isn’t very common. Psychokinesis is believed by some to be an inherited power, although, some that have claimed that it isn’t hereditary.
What are the Signs of Psychokinesis?
Brian Haughton (2010), states that sometimes when a person has the ability to use psychokinesis, the person will experience paltriest activity in his or her home. Many times the ability will show itself when a person is very angry, or when a person just wants a nearby object. When anger occurs, objects may fly off shelves. When an item is wanted it may move from the table it rests on.
Are there Dangers Associated with having this Ability?
Many people who use this ability on a frequent basis become tired and may need to rest before using psychokinesis again. There is also a chance that a person may be hurt by objects that are moved around a room.
