If your children enjoy the popular Disney/Pixar movie “Shrek” they will love “Shrek the Musical.” This show brings the story of Shrek and Princess Fiona live on stage to the Milwaukee Theatre. All of your child’s favorite characters will appear in the musical, providing you and your child with plenty to laugh about and a touching story on top of it.
If you are unfamiliar with the story of Shrek, it follows the adventures of an ogre and his sidekick donkey. The pair agrees to fetch Princess Fiona, who has been trapped in a tower and is guarded by a dragon, for the prince of the land. In return, the prince will remove all of the fairy tale creatures he banned to Shrek’s home, the swamp. The story has an unlikely, but happy, ending, like all fairy tales. The show features 19 songs, many of which can’t be found in the movie.
