Jeremy Clements, NASCAR Nationwide driver and rising star will be hosting a local fundraiser for rare diseases that have become a worldwide problem of late. The Spartanburg, South Carolina native will be hosting the Valentines and Vegas fundraiser on February 11th, 2012 in the upstate for the first time. Clements is known for his many charities and events.
The event will be held at the Embassy Suites Golf Course and Convention Center in Greenville, SC from 7 pm until 11 pm. Clements will be joined by other Nationwide Series drivers. Clements and several other drivers are involved with the group “Racing for a Cause”. To register for this event, please log onto www.racingforacause.com and get more information.
The fundraiser will be held to raise attention and funds specifically to EGIDS, which is the acronym for eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. EGIDS is a debilitating, chronic disease and requires long and exhausting treatments. Dr. Jonathan Markowitz states that there is no cure known for this disease and that bringing drivers and celebrities to the forefront to help bring attention to this disease will hopefully find a cure. Make sure that you check the website and register and find out how you can help.
