Spring break is almost here and if you’re struggling with those last few inches, steal some secrets from trainer Michelle Lovitt, who works with celebrity A-listers Courteney Cox and Julianne Moore. Also see: January Jones, Reese Witherspoon and Stacy Keibler in Zobha workout wear
Lovitt’s top tip: Invest in a heart rate monitor and keep your workout rate in your target heart rate
Lovitt, who is Zobha brand ambassador as well as a celebrity fitness trainer, offers other workout tips (see below) but also says you should have fun and look cute when working out. Makes sense, yes? Confidence makes every body look better.
How cute? She puts her celebs in yoga-inspired apparel by Zobha. (Available at BeYoga in Palo Alto, and Courtside Club in Los Gatos). If you’d like to order online from Zobha.com, use “lovzobha” which is courtesy of Lovitt and good for 20% off. Also see: Zobha CEO in San Francisco
Lovitt’s fitness tips for her celebs
- Stress relief: When clients get stressed during award season, Lovitt reminds them that exercise releases endorphins which relieves stress and improves your mood.
- Hydrate: Drink plenty of water. Your body rids itself of fat through urine, sweat and carbon dioxide.
- Carbohydrates: If a goal is close, cut out the carbohydrates before cardio. Carbohydrates release insulin and insulin suppresses your body’s ability to burn fat so pay attention to what you consume before you “run” out the door.
