Saint Arnold Brewery, Houston’s largest and Texas’ oldest craft brewery, is prepared to launch a new beer: St. Arnold Endeavour Double IPA. The brewery is going to have a celebration to commemorate this new addition to the St. Arnold lineup. Here are the facts:
Who: St. Arnold Brewery
What: Launch party
Where: St. Arnold Brewery, 2000 Lyons Ave., Houston
When: Feb. 29, 2012, with a 6pm check- in
Why: To celebrate the beginning of a new beer
Named after the Space Shuttle of the same name, St. Arnold Endeavour is the first of the Divine Reserve series to make its way into the regular St. Arnold product rotation. As many Houston craft beer fans are aware, the Divine Reserve series is a St. Arnold specialty and each year, a new entry in the series is released. St. Arnold Endeavour was first enjoyed as Divine Reserve #11 and it was so well received that the good guys and gals at St. Arnold decided to add it to the regular lineup.
St. Arnold has decided to do something a little different for this celebration. The brewery is going to host a showing of the movie Spaceballs, the Mel Brooks comedy classic from 1987. The outer space theme is very fitting, given the selected name for the new beer. St. Arnold’s parking lot will be transformed into an outdoor theater for the event. Admission for the event is $15 and guests need to arrive between 6pm and 6:45pm. Reservations are necessary and can be made by clicking here. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and their own food and prepare for the worst that Mother Nature may offer.
St. Arnold Endeavour Double IPA is going to be available in 22 oz. and on draft. Expect to find it in stores on Feb. 29, 2012.
