Wine lover’s weekend, February 11 & 12, 2012, is upon us – and there’s so much to see and do for and with lovers of life and of wine. Romance is in the air all across the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation, and local oenophiles have a plethora of delicious tasting treats in store.
The Summit Wineries offer wine lovers’ weekend delights
Silver Mountain: Find sweets and treats for your sweetheart or sweet tooth, gifts, and music. Sweet tastings feature the talented Tabitha Stroup’s “Friend in Cheeses jams;” Delk Bees honey, and more.
Burrell School: Discover chocolate pairings, romantic live guitar music, and late harvest zinfandel.
Regale: The hosts will regale visitors with chocolate and treats to swoon over, accompanied with live music.
MJA: Offers sweet tastes and music to help heighten the senses.
Villa del Monte: Adventuresome mountain tasting – includes pairings with the four C’s: cheese, crackers, chocolate, and more chocolate.
Silver Mountain and Regale are open Saturday, Feb. 11 only for this event.
Burrell School, Villa del Monte, and MJA Vineyards are open Saturday and Sunday.
Domenico Winery features love offerings from six wineries
One “love stop” at Domenico Winery gives “love” to visitors in many ways featuring the wonderfully balanced wines of Domenico Winery, Jazz Cellars, Muccigrosso Vineyards, Naumann Vineyards, Pinder Winery, and Travieso Winery.
Enjoy Domenico Winery barrel tasting all weekend, a chocolate fountain, chocolate pairings and special wine deals, including barrel ownership.
Sarah’s Vineyard offers the romance of chocolate and music
For those in the South Bay, head down to the base of Mount Madonna and visit Sarah’s Vineyard for a taste of wine, paired with luscious chocolate, and other luscious treats, accompanied by the music of Tara Tinsley, live.
While in the neighborhood, stop by favorite area wineries such as Fortino, Solis, Hecker Pass, Sycamore Creek, Clos LaChance, and Jason Stevens.
