This week, Bachelor Ben and the remaining three women headed off to Switzerland for the infamous overnight dates. As Ben gazed wistfully out the window of the airplane, he gave a recap of his story with each of the ladies.
Nicki and Ben met and hopped into a red helicopter to see the sights. At one point, they flew straight down over the side of a glacier, before they finally landed at the top of a moutain for a picnic. They spent a lot of time talking about Nicki’s family and their relationship. The helicopter dropped them off on top of another mountain so they could awkwardly stand and hold each other.
Next, it was time for dinner. Talk turned to Nicki wanting to have a future together with Ben in Sonoma. She asked Ben about how many kids he wants to have: he said four, but she said two. (Uh oh). Ben presented Nicki with the card inviting them to stay overnight in the fantasy suite. Nicki quickly accepted the invitation, and they skipped dessert to head back to their very own chalet. It wasn’t long before the two of them ended up in the jacuzzi in the bathroom.
Ben and Lindzi went rappelling down the side of a cliff for the first portion of their date. After they made it down, it was to an outdoor hot tub that looked like a big, wooden barrel.
Then, it was time for dinner. What a pair – Lindzi in an elegant dress, and Ben in his dorky bow tie. It didn’t take long for Lindzi to start beating around the bush and mumbling about being vulnerable. Finally, she spit it out that she really likes Ben, she is falling in love with him, and would love to see a proposal in the end. After that, Ben presented the fantasy suite date card, which Lindzi happily accepted. It was off to their fantasy suite for some more make-out time. (You would think Ben’s lips would be chapped and sore after all of his lip-licking and kissing during these dates). They ended things on top of the bed, where Lindzi’s bare rear end was nearly revealed.
The last to go on an overnight date was Courtney. She and Ben took a train to Wengen for a picnic, but they had to stop and pick up their picnic food first. They dined alongside cows and played a rousing round of “Hey Cow,” where Courtney called “Hey Cow” to the cows. They started to discuss some of Courtney’s behavior, but Ben cut the discussion off and said they could talk about it later.
Their dinner later on was in a wine cellar. Courtney brought up their earlier discussion of her behavior with the others girls and mentioned that being around them sometimes brought out the worst in her. Ben wondered if his mom and sister would support a relationship with Courtney and she admitted to being immature at times, saying things she shouldn’t have, and even being mean when Emily left. Just that was enough to change Ben’s mind, and out came the fantasy suite card. Ben told Courtney he wanted an uninterrupted moment to be with her, and they each quickly agreed to go to their suite for the night. Outside their chalet, they hopped into an even smaller wooden barrel style of hot tub and got cozy.
They interrupted the show to give us a sneak peek of the upcoming season of The Bachelorette with Emily Maynard. Emily jetted off to L.A. to spend some time with Ali and Ashley in order to get some Bachelorette advice and pick out some clothes. The three of them got their make-up done and went to their very own screening of Titanic in 3-D.
Upon the completion of the overnight dates, Ben was feeling pretty good about everything, until Kacie B. surprised him and showed up at his hotel room. She told him she was in such shock when she left that she couldn’t even figure out what to say, so she asked him to tell her what happened. Ben stuttered a bit before telling her that they are world’s apart in where they come from and have very different backgrounds. He didn’t think he could have given her all she needed because that isn’t where he saw his life going, and she didn’t do anything wrong. He didn’t see her in the end and didn’t want to drag it out any longer. Ben stayed quiet, and Kacie told him it was nice to have answers, but it didn’t make any better. She then told Ben she didn’t want to see him get his heart broken again and warned him that choosing Courtney could mean getting his heart broken. He asked for reasons, and she told him Courtney seemed to want to win a competition and that if it wasn’t Ben, there would be other fish in the sea. Kacie seemed geniune, but Ben (again) didn’t say much of anything.
Kacie flopped down on the floor of the hotel to take a moment and said it was hard to walk away from him again. Ben admitted that Kacie’s visit through him for a loop and made him question everything with Courtney one more time.
Chris Harrison again sat down with Ben to talk everything over. He relayed his conversation with Kacie to Chris and told him he was starting to second guess himself. Ben rambled on about being confused about his feelings, and Chris asked if he wanted Kacie back in the Rose Ceremony. Ben quickly told him too much had happened this week for that to happen and proceeded to recap all of his dates.
Then, it was time for the Rose Ceremony. Chris walked each of the ladies in as Ben continued to deliberate and make his decision. Chris reminded the women this was the last step before Ben proposing to one of them. Ben entered and told them they are three lives he sees himself with, but he has to decide which life he wants to be a part of. With that, he handed the first rose to Lindzi and the second rose to Courtney (of course). Nicki hugged both girls, and Ben walked her out, telling her it had nothing to do with her (sounds familiar). Nicki said she was hurt, but she wants the best for him. Ben said he had a connection with her from the start and that saying good-bye to her was the hardest thing he had to do so far.
Were you surprised with Ben’s final two? Are you disappointed? Who do you think he will choose two weeks from now in the finale? Leave a comment below!
