Drama has been a big theme so far on this season of The Bachelor and one girl in particular seems to be causing most of the problems. Now The Bachelor, Ben Flajnik and host Chris Harrison are blogging about their thoughts on the most polarizing contestant of the season, Courtney Robertson.
Courtney has Ben believing that she is sweet as pie, but the other girls are left scratching their heads and wondering what Ben could possibly see in such a mean, vindictive woman. Emily even tried to tell Ben that she wasn’t quite what she seemed. That backfired terribly and put her in a bad spot.
Now that the show is airing and Ben has a chance to see what he was missing during taping, does he feel the same about Courtney? In his latest blog post, Ben said,
“I was completely oblivious to was Courtney causing such a stir with the other women. I thought that she was just making the most of her moments with me.”
He went on to explain, “It’s really hard to not let your mind get caught up in ‘Do I really know that this person is being sincere?’ so I tried to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I tried not to go into this experience with the fear that I was getting played, but I will say that if I let myself go there, it’s a common fear in any relationship. Am I seeing the real side to this person?”
Bachelor host Chris Harrison had a few thoughts about Courtney as well. In his blog, he wrote,
“Courtney is a great player and incredibly competitive; Ben is the ultimate prize and she has made it very clear she will do anything to win that prize. Now the big question is: Is this a big game to Courtney or does she really have feelings for Ben?”
The gracious host tried to compare her with past villain, Michelle Money by saying, “I wonder if Courtney is much like Michelle Money during her season. Michelle had a quick wit and sharp dry sense of humor that was largely misunderstood during the season, but she is now one of the most beloved figures in our Bachelor family. Courtney also seems to have that dry sense of humor and a sharp tongue. Will she also end up becoming a beloved member of our family? Only time will tell.”
Ben also had something to say about Samantha, the girl he sent home on the group date. He explains,
“Later in the evening, my decision to send Samantha home was something I had thought about earlier that day. It had been brought to my attention by some of the other women that she wasn’t there for the right reasons and it really came through in our talk that night.”
According to Reality Steve, Samantha had developed feelings for one of the show’s producers and left for that reason.
Love her or hate her, Courtney may be around for quite some so viewers can expect tons of drama in the upcoming episodes. What do you think about Courtney and Ben’s relationship?
